Are my pictures good enough for this kind of artwork?

Good question. It used to be that the kind of artwork you will be receiving was only possible with images created by a professional photographer with very expensive professional equipment. But with the introduction of low-cost digital cameras with large sensors (lots of megapixels), all that has changed.

Let me give you an example. It used to be that when I went to photograph a wedding, I was the only one there with professional medium format film cameras and lenses. I was the one with the "biggest camera", so I must be good, right? But today, with modern digital cameras, I am not surprised to see many guests and relatives at the wedding with the same camera that I have. Now I’m not saying that just having a good camera makes you a professional photographer. There are a lot of other factors involved, of course.

What I am saying is that the image quality available to you today on your own digital camera, if it is fairly recent, say at least 2 megapixels, is excellent, and the images that you are able to capture yourself, are very adequate to create the type of artwork that we do.
